PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
AMEC was retained as the construction manager by the joint owners of this project, The New York Times Company and Forest City Ratner Companies, in partnership with ING Real Estate, to construct this mixed-use building in the Times Square District. Upon completion, The New York Times will own and occupy the lower half of the building and Forest City Ratner Companies will lease the upper floors which will consist of 700,000 sq. ft. of office space and 24,000 sq. ft. of retail space. Other amenities will include a ground floor garden, a roof garden conference facility, a 380 seat auditorium with gallery and prefunction space, and a renovated adjacent subway entrance.
